Ambassador of China visits MP Hariri in Majdelyoun

MP Bahia Hariri received in Majdelyoun the Chinese ambassador to Lebanon Wang Kijian at the start of an official tour in Sidon.

During the meeting, the pair reviewed bilateral relations and the situation of the city of Sidon in terms of development and the progress it is witnessing, and what China can contribute to in this field.

The Chinese ambassador underlined the "positive achievements made by the government of the late Rafic Hariri, which are renewed today and strengthened further with the government of Premier Saad Hariri," stressing "the importance of benefiting from the Lebanese role in enhancing bilateral cooperation."

"PM Saad Hariri is making great efforts in this area, especially with regard to the revival of what was called the Silk Road to re-activate trade and cultural exchange between the two countries," he said.

"MP Hariri has explained to me the opportunities available for the city of Sidon in terms of development, human resources and the national plan for the development of the city. (...) We look forward to further cooperation between China and the city of Sidon for the benefit of both sides," he concluded
