Noga Holding issues report

Oil supplies from Aramco to Bapco via pipeline AB3 is expected to resume its normal flow within a few coming days.

“Work is underway to repair the AB3 oil pipeline”, said the National Oil and Gas Holding Company (Noga Holding) in a statement, adding that repairs have already progressed.
The Bapco AB3 oil pipeline was damaged due to the blast which happened last Friday evening near the village of Buri.
The oil supplies resumed normally on Bapco-run AB1 and AB2, which were not damaged due to the blaze which followed the blast.
The Bahrain Oil Company (Bapco) had activated the emergency disaster management plan and contained the incident without casualties or environmental repercussions.
Oil Minister, Noga Holding board of trustees’ chairman Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa congratulated Bapco its quick response and professional handling of the incident to limit its repercussions on the local community and the environment.
He said that the incident caused a slight drop in the rate of production, adding that the crude oil supplies and other by-products were restored at their levels before the pipeline incident.
He strongly condemned the terrorist attack which targeted the Bapco oil pipeline, adding that the security agencies are undertaking an investigation to inquire into the circumstances of the incident.
The minister said that Bapco is working with the competent authorities to enable them to conduct the inquiry and ensure all security procedures.
