Egypt's Minister Khaled Negm

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Khaled Negm said on Monday that 52 technological projects will be implemented in 2015/2016 with the participation of the private sector.

Negm's remarks came during a forum of governments and companies to present modernization projects by using IT and communications.

The 52 projects include eight strategic projects supporting the state's plan to upgrade the technological infrastructure of many bodies to increase the efficiency of services offered to the public, he said.

Negm asserted that the ministry seeks to apply an integrated system aiming at turning services into digital ones in cooperation with the different sectors of the state and the private sector.

He affirmed the necessity to boost cooperation and partnership between the government and the private sector along with the civil society in the field of IT.

Commercial register offices and documentation offices will be developed by BBB rating system, he noted.

On the other hand, Assistant Minister Khaled el Attar said 100 public notary offices were developed in 2006-2012.

Developing the commercial register offices is based on improving the work environment and developing human cadres along with applying technology, Attar said.

All these projects aim at improving services to the public and honing the skills of the state employees in all the sectors to be able to deal with modern systems.
