There is no end in sight for the freshman drama Limitless.

CBS announced it has given a full-season, 22-episode order to the sci-fi series.

"We're excited how Limitless continues to evolve creatively each week and stand out with its unique style of storytelling," Glenn Geller, president of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement Friday. "It's off to a strong start in a highly competitive environment."

The series stars Jake McDorman, Jennifer Carpenter, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and Hill Harper.

Bradley Cooper, the show's executive producer, will guest star on Tuesday's episode. Cooper appeared in the series premiere as the politician who provided McDorman's Brian Finch character "with a temporary inoculation from the severe side effects of the brain-enhancing drug NZT, and hinted he had future plans for Brian," a synopsis said. "In the upcoming episode, as Brian's physical and mental health begin to deteriorate again, Morra demands a high price in exchange for another inoculation."

Cooper originated the character of Edward "Eddie" Morra in the 2011 movie version of Limitless. In the film, Morra was a struggling writer who unlocks his brain's full potential when he takes NZT.
