British universities’ delegation met with the BMC management

Batterjee Medical College (BMC) organized a workshop, with the objective of developing teaching and assessment strategies, and other educational skills for the faculty staff, which would reflect positively on the performance of students and encourage their creativity and achievement through the creation of a stimulating learning environment.
The three-day workshop was held at BMC’s headquarters in Jeddah.
The workshop was attended by faculty members of the college specializing in various medical fields.
Those attending the workshop praised the importance of the faculty development program and expressed their keenness to attend the entire course that would run for a full academic year, which might include other workshops.
Meanwhile, a British universities’ delegation met with the BMC management and discussed the ways of cooperation in the development of medical education.
In the backdrop of cooperation existing between the British Council and BMC, the delegation representing Cardiff University, University of Sheffield, University of Nottingham, University of Liverpool and other universities discussed with the BMC management the ways of cooperation in the field of medical education and exchange of experiences in the fields of common disciplines and programs, including human medicine, dentistry, respiratory therapy, health management, medical imaging techniques, pharmacy, physical therapy and nursing.
The delegation toured BMC’s educational facilities of clinics, laboratories and classrooms for all disciplines. The visitors reportedly had a word of praise for BMC’s advanced equipment and training for students in particular and educational environment in general.
