Bacha Khan University reopens

The Bacha Khan University in Charsadda reopened on Monday, four days after a terrorist attack left 21 people including students, a professor, and security guards martyred and more than 30 injured, Geo TV reported.

Strict security measures were in place at the university, with leave cancelled for police personnel posted on guard duty at the campus.

On Sunday, Vice-Chancellor of the Bacha Khan University Dr Fazal-ur-Rahim Marwat said the university would reopen for staff on Monday and that classes will resume shortly.

A public relations officer for the varsity said that a meeting of all departmental heads would take place today where they will decide when to resume classes.
