King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Sultan Ibrahim

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar the Sultan and Sovereign Ruler of the State and Territory of Johor Darul Ta'zim in Malaysia, at the Gudaibiya Palace today.

HM Sultan Ibrahim is on a visit to Bahrain at the invitation of HM King Hamad.

Upon arrival at the Gudaibiya Palace, HM Sultan Ibrahim was greeted by school students and folk bands.

Then, an official reception was held, and the anthems of the State of Johor Darul Ta'zim and the Kingdom of Bahrain were played.

The kingdom’s distinguished guest shook hands with senior Bahraini officials, and HM the King shook hands with the members of HM Sultan Ibrahim’s accompanying delegation.

Following a recitation from the Holy Quran, HM King Hamad gave a speech:
"In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Your Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar, Sultan of Johor

Peace and God’s mercy and blessings be upon you
We would like at the outset to express that we warmly welcome your Majesty's visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, which has all the respect and affection for Malaysia. We recall the warm welcome and honour we received during our visit to Malaysia in April.
We also recall the important and fruitful discussions we had, and which reflected our shared interest in raising levels of cooperation within the framework of close brotherly relations between our two countries. 
We are also pleased with the visits of Malaysian delegations to the Kingdom of Bahrain in light of their positive outcomes and we look forward to more such visits in order to intensify discussions on the future action programmes and ways to implement them to meet our aspirations and reinforce our interests.
We are pleased to laud the great efforts you have been making to optimise your national achievements at all levels. This is something that we have truly sensed when we witnessed the Malaysian development model and its remarkable renaissance. We appreciate your leading role in maintaining security and spreading peace across the world as an indispensable means for the continuation of human coexistence and rapprochement for the sake of all humankind.
Your Majesty Sultan Ibrahim,
In this auspicious meeting, we wish to renew our resolve and our determination to continue to strengthen our bilateral relations and raise our levels of cooperation in all fields, based on a long history of fraternal contacts and rapprochement based on deep trust and mutual respect, which takes us, God willing, towards a promising future of continuous and constructive cooperation and the prosperity of our two countries.
In conclusion, we reiterate our welcome to Your Majesty, and we have the pleasure to take this opportunity to bestow on you the Medal of the father of all Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, may God have rest his soul in eternal peace, in appreciation of your laudable efforts and achievements.
We wish Your Majesty further successes.

Then, HM the King conferred the Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa Medal of the Excellent Class on HM Sultan Ibrahim in tribute for his efforts to consolidate cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State and Territory of Johor Darul Ta'zim.

In his speech, HM Sultan Ibrahim expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad for his kind invitation, praising the gracious welcome and hospitality accorded to him during his visit to the "beautiful" Kingdom.

HM Sultan Ibrahim extended an invitation to HM King Hamad to visit the Johor Sultanate at any time that is convenient to him.

HM Sultan Ibrahim expressed gratitude to HM the King, voicing deep pride in being bestowed the Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa Medal by HM King Hamad.

HM Sultan Ibrahim bestowed The First Class of the Most Esteemed Order of the Johor Royal Family on HM the King in recognition of his role in bolstering relations between the two countries.
"This Order was instituted in 1886 and it is a token of the strong brotherhood between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Johor Darul Ta'zim," said Sultan Ibrahim. 

Earlier, HM Sultan Ibrahim arrived in Bahrain on a visit to Bahrain at the invitation of HM King Hamad.
HM the King and HM Sultan Ibrahim will hold talks on the solid bilateral relations, in addition to issues of common interest.
Upon arrival, HM Sultan Ibrahim was welcomed by Deputy Premier, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Information Affairs Minister and head of his Convoy of Honour, Ali bin Mohammad Al Romaihi, and Muharraq Governor, Salman bin Isa bin Hindi.
