Shura chairman receives French Senate delegation

The Shura Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh has stressed the importance of visits exchange between legislative councils, sharing expertise related to legislation, benefiting from the efforts of ancient democracies to develop the legislative process.
Al Saleh affirmed the importance of boosting the bilateral ties between the Senate and Shura councils and parliamentary councils for their effective role in regional and international parliamentary gatherings.

This came as the Shura Chairman received today a delegation of French Senators, praising the deep-rooted historic ties between Bahrain and France characterized by reciprocal respect and trust, compatibility of views on various international issues, including the sovereignty of independent states and non-interference in their internal affairs. He praised the honorable French stances following Bahrain’s being targeted by external meddling in its domestic affairs.

The French delegation met members of Bahrain’s Legislature and discussed the close cooperation ties and means of boosting these ties in the interest of both friendly countries.

The Shura Council welcomed the French delegation whose visit comes within the framework of the solid bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation, stressing the importance of continuous communication with the French Senate as well as bolstering the parliamentary ties to achieve the aspirations of the both countries.

The Senators expressed their gratitude and appreciation of the Shura Council members for their reception, aspiring for more cooperation between the two sides to achieve the interest of both friendly countries and praising Bahrain’s role in maintaining the region’s security and stability.

The French delegation praised the role of the Ombudsman’s Office in achievement of justice which distinguishes Bahrain from many countries
