The 5th Asian film festival 2012, which was held in Jeddah last week, saw the screening of the first ever all-Saudi Horror film \"Hidden Evil\" or ?????????, among other films. It\'s a breath of fresh air to see that the Saudi film business is evolving bit by bit and venturing into different genres. The film, which was also screened at the Dubai Film Festival, received wide recognition and loads of positive feedback. The story of the film revolves around a villa, located in on the outskirts of a city, and which is believed to be haunted. Tenants who rent the villa from its owner, usually run in the opposite direction only days after moving into the villa, after getting scared out of their wits because of an evil haunting the place. The film takes a twisted turn towards the end -I won\'t spoil the twist for you- and we come to realize that there\'s no bigger and badder evil than man\'s evil! Hidden Evil is directed by Dr. Fahd Ghazoli and stars a number of Saudi actors and actresses. It is important for the Saudi film industry to take such leaps and participate in international festivals in order to reveal the \"Hidden talent\" of Saudi\'s in the realm of films and movies. I believe this experiment should receive more positive feedback and more encouragement. Giving people space and freedom to experiment is what brings out the great talent in them. What do you think? Have you seen the movie \"Hidden Evil\"?
