The 27th Ordinary Session of the African Union Assembly of Heads of State and Government kicked off here on Sunday, with the participation of Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. 

The two-day summit will address issues related to women empowerment, establishing a free trade zone and the AU commission elections.
