Arab Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Jarwan called for the UN Security Council especially the five permanent member states to shoulder their responsibility toward the Syrian people.
In a statement on Thursday, Jarwan urged UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Arab League (AL) Chief Ahmed Abul Gheit to put an end to the daily crimes committed in Syria and to stop immediately the airstrikes and siege on civilians.
He underlined the violations of human rights and international law, citing the use of heavy weapons, aerial bombardment and barrel bomb attacks.
He also called for an immediate action to stop bloodletting there.
