Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Khaled al Hamad al Sabah received a phone call on Tuesday from his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who hailed Kuwait's efforts to host the UN-mediated Yemeni peace talks.

Steinmeier expressed hope that the talks will end the war in Yemen and bring about peace and stability to the country. 

Moreover, the two sides also discussed topics of mutual concern and the recent regional and international developments.
