Chairperson of Egypt’s Al-Masry football team Samir Haliba revealed that his team’s playmaker Ahmed Kaboria has transferred to Zamalek during the current transfer season, saying that Zamalek was keen to contact with his administration to sign contract with the player for the coming seasons.

He added that he held a meeting with Chairperson of Egypt’s Zamalek Mortada Mansour was keen to hold a meeting with him, adding that they held negotiations and the board of his team accepted the offer presented by Zamalek to take the player for the coming season.

On the other hand, he expressed its insistence on playing their matches in the coming season in their stadium in the coastal city of Port Said. They threatened to submit their resignation from their position if their request has been refused from Egyptian Football Federation (EFF).

Chairperson of Al-Masry Football Club Samir Haliba expressed his appreciation to the fans of his team who were supporting their team in Port Said Stadium during the final match of Egyptian Cup, saying that they presented a civilized image of Port Said’s people. He added that they have not committed any violation although their team lost the final against Al-Ahly.

He blamed the decision to deprive the team from playing in Port Said, saying that they paid large amounts of money in camps and hotels to play their matches outside Port Said, although they have their own stadium in the Egyptian coastal city.

He stressed the administration’s ability to secure the matches in Port Said, saying that the fans attend the trainings and friendly matches and they are keen not to commit any violations. He expressed his confidence that the administration will be able to secure the matches in cooperation with security forces.
