North Sinai security bodies on Friday seized amounts of weapons and ammunition that were stored in an apartment in Arish.

Information compiled by the criminal investigation department indicated that an apartment had been frequented by a veiled woman and a man.

The apartment was inspected and various kinds of weapons and ammunition were seized.

The two persons were arrested and prosecution was notified to start a probe.
