The Egyptian and Jordanian Armed Forces began military exercises on Monday with the participation of ground, air and navy forces from both sides.
The wargames, codenamed "Aqaba 2016" are carried out in southern Jordan. The drills will run till November 25.
The drills aim at boosting military relations between the two countries through training the participating troops on implementing various tasks using available resources to overcome current and possible security threats jeopardizing the security and stability of the region.
The two countries held a similar drill last year.
