Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel Aal stressed that the Egyptian army saved the country and its creed is against harming the homeland.

In his speech during Monday's session where he commented on the protest of some MPs against the insults by some movements against the army, Abdel Aal said that there are programmatic attacks against state institutions which began by insulting the president, parliament and army.

He further underlined that though the president offered many sacrifices during the June 30 Revolution, he is insulted by the media.

After signing economic agreements with Saudi Arabia and France, there are attempts to damage the state institutions and the whole country, he noted.

The parliament speaker underscored that the Egyptian army protected the country, adding that the army, president and legislative institutions should be respected.

The speaker reiterated that the parliament was formed as a result of free and fair elections.
