Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah al Khaled al Sabah leaves for Manama Wednesday to lead his country's delegation to the ministerial meeting of the 8th Kuwaiti-Bahraini Joint Higher Committee in Manama.
The committee will tackle means to cement cooperation between the two countries and the signing of several agreements and memos of understandings.
A senior Kuwaiti official on Tuesday lauded ties with Bahrain saying bilateral cooperation has been noticeably progressing on all levels.
Director of the GCC Department at the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry Nasser Al-Mezyen made the statement at the preparatory meeting for the Committee in Manama Tuesday, said KUNA news agency.
He expressed hope the meeting would help realize expectations in harder work to explore more opportunities for bolstering bilateral ties and strategic partnership.
Today's meeting was also attended by representatives of official and non-governmental bodies.
The meeting aims at enhancing bilateral ties to the elevated level aspired by their leaders, Undersecretary of Bahrain's Foreign Ministry for Regional Affairs and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Hamad Al Amri said.
The meeting tackles bilateral political, diplomatic, economic, media, health and power cooperation, among others.
