The Interior Ministry's prisoners department approved petitions by 42 prisoners to be moved to jails close to their kin due to social and health conditions.

The measure falls within the framework of the ministry's policy to adopt modern punitive methods that take into consideration the humanitarian and social perspectives of prisoners and their families.
