Security has been stepped up at Tahrir Square in Downtown Cairo within the Interior Ministry's arrangements to secure celebrations of the 34th anniversary of Sinai Liberation Day.
MENA correspondent said Monday that a number of armored and Central Security Forces vehicles were deployed in the square amid the strong presence of traffic policemen to ensure the smooth flow of traffic at the square.
The streets leading to the Interior Ministry's headquarters were closed and metal barriers were installed on streets leading to it.
