The State Minister at the Ministry of International Cooperation, Dr. Somia Aka'ad, met with the delegation of the United Nations agencies currently in visit to the country to inspect the Sudan's efforts to realize the agenda of the sustainable development.

The State Minister has welcomed the delegation visit that comes in response to the Sudan's voluntary delegation visit to New York last July, the visiting delegation visit aims at providing technical assistance to the technical bodies for the implementation of the sustainable development agenda.
She noted that the ministry of international cooperation looks forward through the work of the visiting delegation and the national focal point to identify the Sudan's priorities in the agenda goals, and to claim the Sudan's rights.
She indicated that the Sudan has emphasized via its delegation that have participated in the lead of the national population council has volunteered to present its efforts for the implementation of the agenda next July in New York , pointing to the appropriate atmosphere for cooperation following the lifting of the US economic sanctions.
On his part, the head of the visiting delegation has welcomed the voluntary initiative of the Sudan, demanding the sending of a international mission to present its achievements in the tracks of sustainable development, congratulating the peoples and government of the Sudan on the lifting of the US sanctions, lauding the variation of the local partners representation adopted by the government which represent the UN approach in expanded participation, expressing readiness of his team to respond to the Sudan's claims to assist in the realization of the agenda goals, the priorities and to defend the Sudan in the international arena.
