Tunis - MENA
Tunisian Political Analyst Noureddine Mubaraki called on Nidaa Tounes (Call for Tunisia) movement that outperformed the Ennahda (Renaissance) Movement in Tunisia’s parliamentary elections to form a national unity government.
In an interview with Al-Ghad Al-Arabi satellite channel, Mubaraki described the two rivals in the parliamentary elections as two parallel tracks which would never come cross.
The Tunisians were given two choices, he said, adding, the first was a democratic platform, adopted by Nidaa Tounes, while the second was an "obscurantist and dark-aged" project.
The vote was held in a democratic climate, he said.
The upcoming government would be tasked with the mission of maintaining stability, he added.
