Rawan Seder and Salwa Abdel Khaliq

The girls, Rawan Seder and Salwa Abdel Khaliq, believe that life is a journey made up of the steps we take every day. They decided to color the steps of the people and give it a mobile art that makes them feel happy. They added the Mandela drawings that reflect the positive energy of shoes to give the positivity to the people in every step they make.

The girls started their venture of Mandela paintings on shoes since 2014 when they got to know this art and loved it because they believe in the theory that each color has a certain energy. They experimented with the colors of cloth until they decided to draw the first white shoes, which was a gift for Rawan on her birthday.

Rawan is a painter of children's books. She has kept her love for coloring since childhood, and her drawings have moved between the walls of the house and school to children's books and screens.

Salwa, who has a bachelor's degree in design and more than 10 years of experience in the field, is passionate about everything from the design of "logos" through photography to murals, and is interested in the cultures of the peoples of the Far East.

Mandela is a Sanskrit word means the circle, but as an engineering form, it represents the universe among the peoples of the East. "When we started drawing the Mandela, our motivation was to seek comfort in the midst of the noise of life," the two girls told Arabs Today. "Every time we painted, we felt the difference that the process has on our moods," they added.

"Because we like to paint everything around us, we decided to try the Mandela on white shoes and the result was more beautiful than what we expected, and the reaction from the surroundings was beautiful," they stated.

According to the two girls, one shoe takes two to three weeks to be painted. They added that their customers are of different age groups, mostly females. They make the marketing campaigns for their products through social media platforms.

The girls aspire to spread their energy through their colors and make the world happy and colorful, full of positive and love for life. "Our ambition is not limited to our country, Jordan, even though we started here, but we will spread joy by traveling and reaching more than 200 countries in the near future," they concluded.
