Fouzi Lekjaa

As Morocco has clinched the right  to host the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN), President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) Fouzi Lekjaa said that the Moroccan national team “has no right to make errors.”

On Friday, the Moroccan team has been placed in Group A along with Guinea, Sudan and Mauritania, according to the results of the draw of the 2018 CHAN, which took place in Rabat.

Lekjaa told the press that the Moroccan squad can not afford to make any mistakes, especially as the team will play in Casablanca’s Mohammed V stadium “in front of an exemplary public.”The FRMF president said that the team has the “potential” to succeed, having worked hard for this competition for years.

“The team needs to show off the result of this hard work from January 13 to February 4 in order to maintain this dynamic of happiness and joy for the Moroccan people and for this magnificent public,” Lekjaa stated.

Lekjaa added that this is “the least” the Moroccan team could offer to its exceptional fans.
