Cincinnati\'s Mike Leake has been arrested on a shoplifting charge, just two days after pitching the Reds to a 11-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Leake was charged with misdemeanor shoplifting after employees of Macy\'s, Inc. accused him of trying to steal six shirts worth $60 from a downtown department store on Monday. Police said security cameras captured Leake in the store and that he allegedly removed price tags from a half dozen American Rag t-shirts before trying to leave without paying. Leake, who makes $425,000 a year with the Reds, got the victory in an 11-2 win over Pittsburgh on Saturday at the Great American Ball Park. The Major League Baseball team issued a statement Monday saying they would look into it. If convicted Leake, of San Diego, could be facing a maximum 180 days in jail. \"We do not condone behavior of the type alleged, which is wholly inconsistent with the principles of this organization and our community and is detrimental to the positive direction we seek to follow. When the legal process has been completed, we will handle this matter internally.\" Leake is 2-0 with a 5.40 ERA in three starts this season. He won eight games as a rookie last season. Leake was the eighth overall pick in the June 2009 draft. Leake attended Arizona State University where he majored in management.
