Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova

It is the US and its partners - not Russia - who should prove good intention with regard to Syria, the Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman said.

In an interview wired by the Russian news agency Sputnik, Maria Zakharova said the US and its partners did not abide by their commitments within the framework of Syria settlement deals.

She called for posting the world on who is in charge of hampering the Syrian settlement.

She said there are calls on Russia to prove its seriousness with regard to cooperation in the Syrian settlement, although Moscow has already sent its personnel to the Arab state.

She added that Russian groups in Syria have helped changing the situation on the ground.

On Tuesday, Moscow and Washington made another attempt to open the door for wider data sharing when they signed a new deal to settle the Syrian conflict in September.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Secretary of State John Kerry agreed in Geneva, to establish a Joint Implementation Center (JIC), where the two countries would exchange information on strike targets, should the newly-brokered ceasefire in Syria hold for at least seven days and all other provisions be implemented. "We expect that in accordance to agreements the United States will provide us with extra data to work on Daesh targets," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said, speaking on September 14.
