Clashes erupted on Wednesday between supporters and opponents of former president Mohamed Morsi in Alexandria following a statement of the Armed Forces. In the meantime, clashes erupted between supporters of Morsi and army troops in Matrouh outside the governorate building. In a televised speech, Armed Forces General Commander General Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi announced on Wednesday the transfer of the presidential powers to the head of the constitutional court. He also declared suspending temporarily the country\'s constitution and holding early presidential elections.
