Risks and Rewards

Corruption, greed and envy run rampant through the pages of author Duncan Pell’s new murder mystery novel, “Risks and Rewards” (published by AuthorHouse UK).
When a car bomb in the Netherlands kills Englishman Simon Craig, the Dutch police cannot find a motive and pass the case to the British police. Chief Inspector Richard Randall pieces together a less-than-flattering portrait of the deceased. Simon was an arrogant and relentless womanizer, and he had a unique way of getting rich.
All signs indicate Simon was blackmailing his corrupt boss. He sent evidence to Susan Robson, a solicitor in Penzance, England, just before his murder. Susan claims the files were destroyed in a fire, but when Richard suspends the investigation, she decides to publish the files, exposing a ring of corruption that stretches across Europe.
The race is on to stop Susan before she and an unknown friend break the story. Pell aims to keep readers on the edge of their seats as more bodies pile up all over Europe, leading Richard to question who is right and who is wrong.
