The American University in Cairo (AUC)\'s Centre for Translation Studies will host Randa Abu-Bakr, professor of English and comparative literature at Cairo University, to deliver a lecture on \'Translating Poetry in the Age of Prose.\' The event will be held on Thursday, 11 October, at 6pm. Abu-Bakr boasts wide experience translating Arabic Poetry into the English language. She has published translations of several of the poems of renowned Egyptian poet Abderrahman El-Abnoudy.
