The Economic Development Board (EDB) said that the delegation's participation aims to enhance investment cooperation and explore investment opportunities in Italy.

A high-level Bahraini delegation representing government and private sectors is currently visiting Italy to participate in the first Italian-Arab Business Forum being held on October 11-13 in Milan

The Economic Development Board (EDB) said that the delegation's participation aims to enhance investment cooperation and explore investment opportunities in Italy. 
It added that its participations in economic forums and promotional tours target attracting investments into the country to contribute to promoting national economy and to provide local job opportunities in line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. 

The delegation comprises Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, EDB CEO Khalid Al-Romaihi, Bahrain’s Ambassador to France and Italy, Dr. Mohammed Abdelghaffar, as well as representatives from government and private sectors. 

The minister, in his speech, praised the strong bilateral trade relations that date back to the 1970s. He said the forum provides a good opportunity for the Italian businesspersons to learn about investment opportunities in Bahrain, pointing that many Italian companies representing various economic sectors currently operating in Bahrain. 

The EDB CEO, during a discussion session on the industry and financial services, gave a comprehensive review of the business environment, advantages and investment opportunities, noting Bahrain's strategic location as a gate to the GCC market, and the volume of the GCC trade market that tops $1.5 trillion.
