Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry is chairing a closed session currently taking place at the African Union headquarters here on Sunday to review a report by Chairman Paul Kagame on the union's structural reform based on a resolution by a previous African Summit session held in June 2016 in Rwanda.
The report shows that the AU issued around 1500 resolutions and none of which has been implemented except for a few, Egypt's Ambassador to Ethiopia and the AU Abu Bakr Hanafi said.
The African nations seek financial reforms to go in line with the union's structural and administrative reform, he said, referring to assigning the former chairman of the African Development Bank to present a report in this regard.
Egypt is the largest African Union financer and gives great attention to holding reform and restructuring this key African organization, he added.
