Egypt seeks to manufacture equipment of new, renewable energy

Minister of Environment Khaled Fahmy said there are several initiatives floated concerning the new and renewable energy to achieve the best economic profits, noting that Egypt seeks not only to find energy sources but to manufacture its equipment.
The minister's remarks were made during the technical meeting for energy initiative 2020 to discuss funding energy sources in the African countries. The meeting comes as part of Egypt's chairing the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment and is organized by the Ministry of Environment.
The meeting was attended by delegations from African countries from Mali, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Mauritania, Nigeria, Gabon and Niger.
