Assiut - Arab Today

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said the total electricity production is expected to reach 4,400 megawatts by the end of the year.

During the inauguration of electricity projects in Assiut on Tuesday, the president said the achievements reached in the electricity file are unprecedented and realized in a record time.

The president said that Dabaa nuclear station adheres to the world's highest security standards.

Sisi said it was unacceptable to allocate all this money for subsidizing electricity. These funds should have been reduced through control networks and it was necessary to implement a comprehensive electricity mechanism, which required providing 16 billion EGP, he said, noting that only 6 billion EGP was available for the purpose.

He highlighted the importance of improving services of the electricity sector.
