
Egypt's environment ministry signed an agreement with Orascom Construction and Lafarge of France to cut emissions from their cement factories in Egypt.
The document is meant to maintain clean environment in the country, said Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy on the sidelines of the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) in the resort city of Sharm El Sheikh.
The gathering has lured billions of dollars in investments.
