Haley Joel Osment is back in the spotlight.
The 26-year-old actor, who came to fame after his role in The Sixth Sense (1999), is scheduled to appear in several upcoming projects. He will guest star on the second season of Ben Stiller-produced web series Next Time on Lonny, and also stars in a number of new movies.
Next Time on Lonny is a reality show spoof that follows the character Lonny (Alex Anfanger) as he attempts to meet girls. Anfanger is a friend and former NYU classmate of Osment's, and the actor says he has been a fan of the series since its debut in 2011.
"When I heard they were doing a second season, I called Alex and told him he'd be in trouble if he didn't let me tag along on one episode because I'm such a big fan," he tells Entertainment Weekly.
"The comedy comes from these little scenes going into completely unexpected directions," he continues. "It just turns into this hilariously overblown catastrophe."
Osment also appears alongside X-Files star Gillian Anderson in new film I'll Follow You Down. The movie is a sci-fi mystery that debuted at the Fantasia International Film Festival in 2013, and premieres August 5 in the U.S.
The actor is scheduled to star in a number of other projects, including Kevin Smith's Tusk with Justin Long, and the upcoming Entourage movie. The second season of Next Time on Lonny premieres June 3 on the Maker.TV website.
