Scientific research ties discussed with Belarus

Dr Rawya bint Saud al Busaidiya, Minister of Higher Education received here yesterday Sergei Aleinik, Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus and his accompanying delegation currently visiting the Sultanate. The meeting reviewed issues of concern to the two countries in the higher education field. Dr Rawiyah pointed to the education quality, the efficiency of Belarusian higher education institutions and the level of translation for all languages at Minsk State Linguistic University. She also pointed to the memorandum of understanding (MoU), which was signed between the two countries during her visit to Belarus, as well as the co-operation in the scientific research and the possibility of conducting joint research in some fields. The visiting guest said that there is a joint co-operation between the Research Council in the Sultanate and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, which can enhance co-operation between the two countries in this field.
