
Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU) honoured five senior students from its partner universities at the 2015 President's Award Ceremony, the university, a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, said Monday.
HBKU President Dr Ahmed Hasnah and Student Affairs Vice-President Dr Khalid Al Khanji awarded certificates and medallions to the students at an event held here.
Ibrahim Sultan Al Hashmi (Northwestern University in Qatar), Marium Saeed (Northwestern University in Qatar), Noha Fahmy (Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar), Tarek Alhariri (Carnegie Melon University in Qatar), and Ayman Al Jurdi (Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar) received the 2015 President's Award.
Deans of respective universities nominated 19 students with a grade point average of 3.6 and above for the award.
University deans, faculty and staff, as well as family and other community members attended the event.
