
There are ongoing efforts to help innovators and remove obstacles facing them, especially patents' registration, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ashraf el Shehy said.
Shehy said the ministry works on securing a proper climate for innovators through a set of programs to help them turn their inventions into products.
Meanwhile, Mahmoud M. Sakr, President of Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, said "Cairo Innovates 2" the 2nd Cairo International Exhibition of Innovation - which opened Tuesday at Cairo's Baron Palace - is meant to open new vistas for innovators and professionally market their inventions.
The exhibition - which is due to wrap up work later Wednesday - offers a total financial awards at 105,000 EGP.
