Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), received at Al-Rawdha Palace today sister of the Ruler of Selangor, Malaysia, and wife of the Malaysian Defence Minister Marsilla Abdullah on the occasion of her visit to Bahrain. 
HRH Princess Sabeeka welcomed her wishing her a pleasant stay in Bahrain. She lauded strong bilateral relations, hailing Malaysia's pioneering experience in various fields which became inspirational for many countries keen on development.
HRH Princess Sabeeka reviewed with the Malaysian Defence Minister's wife the empowerment efforts of Bahraini women according to a comprehensive national scheme to build a society based on partnership between men and women.
Marsilla Abdullah expressed thanks and respect to HRH Princess Sabeeka for the gracious hospitality, lauding the achievements brought about for Bahraini women. She also praised the role of the Supreme Council for Women in this respect under the presidency of HRH Princess Sabeeka which culminated in launching an international award named after HRH Princess Sabeeka.
