Sydney - Xinhua

Samsung Electronics Co. said Wednesday that it will start sales of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet computer in Australia on Dec. 16, following its recent legal victory against Apple Inc. in the country. The Korean company won an Australian federal court order on Dec. 9 to lift a sales ban on Samsung\'s latest tablet computers, which was in place since October upon a request by Apple Inc.\"As we have completed production and transportation of the Galaxy Tab 10.1, we will start sales soon,\" a company official said. \"We expect that sales will be smooth as there is sufficient demand.\" The recent victory was crucial for Samsung to start sales of its high-end products during the end-of-the-year holiday season.Samsung and Apple are locked in around 30 lawsuits in 10 countries accumulated since April when Apple accused Samsung\'s mobile devices of \"blatant copying\" its iPhone, iPad and iPod products. Samsung rebutted the accusation, saying that Apple\'s iPhone infringed upon its wireless patents.
