Samsung Electronics to unveil new Tizen smart TV in Las Vegas

Samsung Electronics Co. said Thursday that it will unveil its new Tizen-powered smart television in an electronics show next week, and all of its Web-connected TV sets newly produced in 2015 will be run by the operating system.
The South Korean tech giant has focused on developing the Tizen operating system along with companies led by Intel Corp. to lower its dependency on Google Inc.'s Android OS.
