The Agriculture and Land Reclamation Ministry said that so far, the Principal Bank for Development and Agricultural Credit (PBDAC)'s silos received nearly 502,000 tons of wheat from farmers.
In a statement on Tuesday, the ministry attributed the increase in the quantity of wheat supplied to the bank in the recent period to the new measures taken at the grain supply centers that make it easier for farmers to supply their crops.
The ministry said that it took all necessary procedures to avoid mixing imported and local wheat.
