Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri on Thursday discussed with Jan Kubis, special representative of the U.N. secretary general in Iraq, developments of the operation to liberate Mosul from the ISIS group, the humanitarian conditions of the city's residents, and the role of the United Nations in garnering international support to provide relief aid for them.
The two sides also reviewed political and security issues in Iraq and efforts to eliminate the ISIS group and terrorism in the region.
