
Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim met on Friday with U.S Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter, currently on a visit to Turkey for talks on the security situation in the region, notably the Operation Euphrates Shield in Syria and the liberation of Mosul in Iraq.
Carter had met earlier with Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Isik and is set to meet later with President Recep Tayyib Erdogan.
