Azhar Imam to visit Indonesia Saturday

Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb will pay an official visit to Indonesia on Saturday on his first visit to the Asian country in office.
Tayyeb will also deliver a speech to all Muslims in Asia and all over the world from the Indonesia University in Jakarta. He will chair a meeting of the Muslim Council of Elders.
He will meet Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
The Imam will be granted the honorary doctorate as an appreciation to his scientific and religious roles in spreading the moderate values of Islam.
