
Egyptian Ambassador in Bosnia and Herzegovina Yasser el Atawy met with Mufti of Bosnia and Balkans Husein Kavazovic as part of the good relations binding Egypt with the mufti.
The meeting took up the Egyptian-Bosnian ties in various fields.
El Atawy stressed that his country is keen on spreading the moderate teachings of Islam and fighting the terrorist groups that tarnish the image of that heavenly religion.
The Egyptian diplomat highlighted directives given by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to develop the religious discourse, adding that Egypt looks forward to enhancing cooperation between Al Azhar and the religious entities in Bosnia.
For his part, Kavazovic expressed his appreciation of historic relations between Egypt and the Bosnian Muslims, noting that his country supports Egypt's efforts in fighting the black terrorism.
