
Jordanian King Abdullah II on Saturday held talks here with President of Gabon Ali Bongo Ondimba on bilateral ties and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various domains, according to Petra News Agency.
During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting, the two leaders stressed the importance of continuing security coordination among various international stakeholders to fight terrorism and extremism.
Meanwhile, President Ali Bongo Ondimba reiterated his country's support for Jordan's efforts to fight terrorism and extremism. He also valued the humanitarian role played by Jordan, which is hosting large numbers of Syrian refugees.
