
Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah discussed on Sunday with United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov the latest political and economic developments and the issue of the Gaza Strip's reconstruction.
This came during a meeting held between Hamdallah and Mladenov in Ramallah city.
During the gathering, the Palestinian Premier urged the international community, especially the United Nations to do more efforts to mobilize support for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and facilitate the entry of the construction materials into the enclave as well as meeting residents' urgent needs.
He hailed the UN's role in the reconstruction process, stressing the necessity of coordinating Arab and international efforts to speed up the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
He called on the donor countries to fulfill their financial pledges.
