
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Sunday with Japanese lawmaker and President of the Japan-Egypt Parliamentary Friendship Association Yuriko Koike.
Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said Sisi hailed the Japanese lawmaker's supportive stance towards Egypt and its people.
Egypt is eager to benefit from the Japanese expertise in the educational field, Sisi said.
Yuriko, for her part, invited Sisi to visit Japan this year to boost bilateral relations in all fields.
She also hailed cultural cooperation between the two states.
