Slovak President Andrej Kiska is to visit Kenya on Sunday, the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation (SlovakAid) said Friday.
Kenya is one of the four recipients of development aid from Slovakia. The others are Afghanistan, Moldova and South Sudan.
"Official development aid has been sent to these countries since the inception of SlovakAid in 2004," said Nina Machacova, project manager for Kenya and South Sudan at SlovakAid.
Kiska is to visit projects and activities developed by Slovak NGOs, businesses, and academic institutions in the country.
Fifteen projects are currently under way in Kenya that are covered from official development funds. This includes ten large projects of up to 250,000 euros (266,000 U.S. dollars) each and five micro grants of up to 10,000 euros each, added Machacova.
