
Channing Tatum and his producing partner Reid Carolin are to co-direct and produce a big-screen adaptation of Matthew Quick's young adult novel Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock.
The book is about a troubled teen who plans to kill his best friend and himself. The Hollywood Reporter said Tatum is considering playing a heroic teacher who intervenes in the matter.
The Weinstein Co. is shepherding the drama.
Tatum's latest film Foxcatcher is already generating Oscar buzz. He also starred in the summer blockbuster 22 Jump Street.
